Tuition for classes is due the very first week of each month and will remain the same regardless of holidays or school breaks. REFUNDS CANNOT BE GIVEN FOR ANY REASON. If tuition is not paid by the first week, a $10 late fee will be added onto the set rate. Failure to pay at all within 15 days of the original deadline will result in the dancer being suspended from the studio until fees can be paid in full. Failure to pay in full along with the additional late fee after 30 days will result in the dancer being fully dismissed from the studio indefinitely. This rule also applies to Recital fees, Merchandise, and Costume Fees as they are announced alongside their deadlines.
At Indigo Dance Collective, we strive to make sure that you/your dancer have the best dance experience possible when entering our doors. In order to keep everyone accountable, safe, and in good health both mentally and physically, we require all dancers and their guardians to read and sign the Indigo Dance Collective code of conduct upon registering with our studio. The rules for this establishment are as follows:
1. Follow the golden rule: Treat others the way you wish to be treated. Bullying of any kind will simply not be tolerated. You are now representing Indigo Dance Collective, and any incident or knowledge of an incident involving an individual bullying other students either on studio property or elsewhere will result in immediate expulsion of the dancer. This includes any inappropriate conduct that occurs on social media that includes our dancers. At Indigo we do not associate ourselves with such individuals and do not tolerate hateful or harmful speech/actions of any kind. No questions, no exceptions, no excuses.
2. No phones are permitted on the studio floor at any time. Any mobile devices must be placed on silent and put away with personal belongings. Checking phones in between classes is not permitted and will result in confiscation of the dancer’s phone until the end of the night.
3. All dancers are encouraged to arrive 10 minutes earlier than their assigned class time. This way they do not feel rushed and have an opportunity to take their time preparing for class.
4. Dancers who arrive late will not be permitted to enter the studio without the teacher’s permission. They must be dressed, ready, and waiting at the door before the teacher will allow them into the classroom. This is common etiquette that is practiced in all professional dance companies, and we operate in the same capacity.
5. All dancers must adhere to the provided dress code. Failure to follow will result in dismissal in class until the dancer can comply with the proper uniform.
6. No street shoes permitted on the dance floor. Dance shoes, socks, and bare feet only. This protects both your personal health and our floors.
7. Water bottles are permitted, but only water can be in them. No sports drinks or sodas permitted.
8. Dancers are required to ask permission if they must exit the studio while class is in session.
9. In the event that a dancer is struggling, becoming inconsistent in their progress, or has neglected to do the work necessary to participate in any choreographic opportunities such as solos, duets, etc., the teacher reserves the right to revoke their place in the dance at any given time for any of the stated reasons.
